The Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct) provides commercial building owners substantial tax benefits for energy efficient building projects. On October 3rd 2008 President Bush signed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, extending the tax incentives for building energy efficiency for 5 years through December 31st 2013. Nationally, thousands of commercial building owners have benefited from this powerful tax incentive.
